LETTER
OF THE WEEK: TIME OUT FOR POPCULT
"The
Bottom 5" made Time Out New York's "Ones & Zeros" roundup
this week (issue #341, 11-18 April). I'm afraid it won't appear online,
and we don't have nearly the room the (Houston) Chron's got,
but the issue will be on NYC newsstands for another three days and it
is, of course, a very positive notice. And now I'm off to read the Darby
Conley interview;
I just found Get Fuzzy two weeks ago, and here you are interviewing
the artist. PopCult is obviously being effortlessly cool and
reader-responsive again!
Best,
Angela Gunn,

happy PopCult acolyte for at least three weeks
Now
this is the kind of PopCult reader we need more ofwilling
to risk her very job to help spread the PopCult word. We wholeheartedly
approve of this behavior and urge all of you to do likewise.

BOTTOM
5 SPORT (F)UTILITY VEHICLES
A
friend just sent me a link to your site, which has to be the funniest
thing I've seen this week.
A
note though on the subject of the "honorable mention," the Lincoln
Blackwood. While that thing isn't an SUV and looks exactly like
a pickup, it isn't one. The "bed" has a non-removable tonneau (cover),
and is lined with brushed aluminum and hardwood. It's not a truck bed,
it's a trunk. So what you've got there is an enormous 4-door sedan,
which is built on a truck chassis. See, it was even worse than you thought.

Has
Detroit no shame? When will this madness end, I ask you!

GET
FUZZY!
I
was pleasantly surprised to check PopCult today and see Bucky
on the homepage! I love this cartoon and am glad that others do, too.
I'm sitting in my cubicle looking at my three favorites that I cut out
of the paper. Thanks for bringing Bucky, Satchel, and Rob to the world's
attention!

LOVE
THE SITE
Coury,
I found your site through Yahoo's sites
of the week. I liked it so much I thought I'd let you know you're
not yelling in the wilderness.
Love
the content, design (excellent fonts!!), Southern perspective. I've
also run through a whole series of interesting links starting with your
sites.
Thanks
for the great site,
Clark
